Honestly, I loved this project. It was challenging, frustrating, but simple in reality. 

The best documentation will most likely come from this website, but my experience may be helpful as well.

I worked a stint at a daycare as a GSRP 'teacher.'  Wasn't my favorite job, but it had some amazing co-workers and gave me access to materials to test my skills. While working in this position I got the bright idea to create a portable operating system (soas) for each kid as a 'graduation' present.

Best, worst, idea ever. 

Long story short I tried numerous times to install Sugar on a Stick to many devices, and EVERY time I did the data did not persist (save) upon reboot.

FINALLY, after watching videos and googling every combination of soas and persist, I found a random reddit where it essentially said "download 'fedora everything' and select what you want."

Boom.

That was it.

Selected sugar desktop, chose some educational add-ons and selected a USB as  the location for the data. Simple as that. Fedora Everything is the way to go man.
